A short update so everyone starts from the same place. We have mussels in the water at Birchs Bay, growing on longlines under an existing marine farming licence. That is the only species we have being cultivated at the present time. Seaweed seedlines are being sourced now for deployment at Birchs Bay. Oysters and scallops will follow as funding allows. The IMTA model, growing several species together so they support each other, is what we are building toward rather than what we are running today. We have a second pilot site agreed at Great Bay and we'd like to get seaweed growing there before the end of the year.
What are your thoughts on where things stand at the moment?
