In some exciting news, we received confirmation our project is one of the six finalist to be accepted into the Hatch: Taronga Accelerator Program - www.taronga.org.au/hatch/accelerator-program This is a huge step forward for Bruny Island Seafarms and will help enormously in turning the vision into reality.
What this means is we will receive a wide range of mentorship across every aspect of modern business over a 3 month period. This will enable us to fine tune our business structure and model and setup BISF up for launch and profitable operation. The non-profit, community based model is still the one we will be fine-tuning. Ben Convery and Toby Cannon have joined the team to participate in the Hatch program which is great news for the projects long term future.
The beauty of being involved in the Hatch program will give us some real credibility moving forward in terms of gaining funding and accessing partners who can help us launch.
